Christ Undertakes Our Justification as Well as Our Sanctification

It brings God glory when His children strive for holiness in every matter in every day. In order to successfully walk the Christian walk, we must die to self daily, pick up our cross, and follow after Christ. The Word says we must work out our salvation with fear and trembling. The process of sanctification isn’t by faith alone like the gift of justification is.

We must strive for holiness. We must yield ourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and our members must be used as instruments of righteousness unto God.
The true Christian walk is not easy, and it was never meant to be. Through the sanctification process, the Holy Spirit is forming us into vessels suitable for honorable use for our King and His Will for us while we are on earth. We are called to be ambassadors for His Kingdom while we are here on earth. We are not called to sit back idly and enjoy the world, our flesh, sin, and the enemy’s snares, just as unbelievers do.

We, believers, are pilgrims in a strange land, just passing through on our way to the Celestial City. We are to work with God in our sanctification process by fighting against the desires of our flesh moment by moment, day by day. This is how He makes us holy and suitable for His divine use. I mean think about it: an unholy person would not even enjoy Heaven once they arrived because it would not be aligned with their sensibilities.

Jesus Christ sanctifies us through the power of His Holy Spirit so that we become more and more like Him each day that we strive to walk with Him. Prevenient and justifying grace enables us to become a Christian, but it is sanctifying grace that enables us to be a Christian.

To sanctify means to make holy. Once God’s prevenient grace has convicted us of our sin and our need for Christ and after we receive His forgiveness by faith through God’s justifying grace, His Spirit begins the process of our inner transformation. It is God’s sanctifying graces that transform us into the likeness of Christ.

We cannot walk with the world, with our flesh, with Satan, and with God at the same time. We are called to walk in the Spirit of God every moment of every day. We are called to turn away from our sins every day. “Let go and let God” does not apply to our sanctification process. We are called to armor up with the belt of truth buckled around our waists, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the Gospel of Peace. We are to take up our shield of faith, put on our helmet of salvation, and take up the sword of the Spirit. We cannot know the voice of our Father if we are not in His Word. His Word is living, and it speaks to all those with the ears to hear and the eyes to see.

Our Father does not ask us to fight against these rulers and authorities of this dark world alone, He tells us we must pray in the Spirit on all occasions, and He will help us. We are to remain alert and ceaselessly pray for all of His children.

The true Christian walk is a fight. And as our beloved Lord and Savior told us, “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

Feel free to call me crazy for saying all this, I’ve heard it all before. I may be a voice in the wilderness, but I am a voice who cares about the eternal state of your souls.

May God be with you now and always. Shalom✝️

Happy National Dinosaur Day!

Young earth creationism is faith-based but also solidly backed by physical evidence. The conventional paradigm of old earth evolutionism is merely blind faith, a leap in the dark. All Glory to God, the mastermind behind our beautifully interdependent world!

2 Peter 3:1-7

“The Day of the Lord
Dear friends, this is now my second letter to you. I have written both of them as reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking. I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles.

Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.”

Mark and I found this particular documentary extremely compelling, though its not the only source we have examined to help us understand the origins of this beautiful earth we call home.
