I’ve also been thinking about the signs and wonders circuit, more like circus, of Christianity and how deceptive it really is. If professing Christians need to see “signs and wonders” in order to believe in God it shows not only a lack of discernment but also a huge lack of Faith.
When Jesus performed miracles it consisted of valuable results like raising people from the dead, helping people see and walk, casting demons out, etc. not people convulsing on the floor, crawling around on all fours and barking like dogs, laughing hysterically or acting drunk. These are all cheap thrills, cheap entertainment for professing Christians who don’t really KNOW Jesus and have itching ears or possibly demon oppressed/possessed people that call themselves Christians. The cackling laughter I’ve heard during Todd Bentley, Kenneth Copeland, Bill Johnson, and Mike Bickel “sermons” made my skin crawl with how evil it sounded. The REAL Holy Spirit delivers people from terrible sins like self-destruction in the form of drugs, alcohol, pornography, idolatry, thievery, greed, selfishness, lying, etc.
I know people are seeing things in some of these heretical churches that look supernatural, they are supernatural, but I assure you they are not of God. These seducing spirits also bring with them doctrines of demons that consist of a new Jesus. A Jesus far removed from the true Jesus mentioned in the Bible. And this new Jesus cannot save you!
Remember in Exodus when Pharoah’s council of magicians and diviners were able to duplicate the first 3 plagues but not the other 7? The enemy and his servants have power but not like Jesus Christ.
Pray for discernment and to know the true Jesus Christ! Please read the Word of God! The just shall live by Faith! ✝
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. 4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, 5 because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer. (1 Timothy 4:1-5)
